RallyUp Safeguarding
Play. Learn. Improve. Safely.
Junior Player safety is part of how RallyUp works.
RallyUp connects Players, Coaches, Clubs and competitions. For Junior Players we add one more important person to the team — their Guardian — so Guardians stay informed, important relationships are approved and Junior information stays private.
The team
The safety team around every Junior
Plays, learns, competes and develops with all the normal RallyUp Player features.
Stays informed and approves important relationships and activities.
Supports development through Coach–Player relationships that have been approved.
Runs an organised Club and approves who joins it.
Connects everyone through permissions, alerts, approvals, privacy protections and a record of important actions.
Safeguarding is a team effort — RallyUp helps connect the team.

Guardian Protection
How Guardian Protection works
01
Connect
A Junior Player, their Club Manager or a RallyUp Admin invites a Guardian. The Guardian accepts in RallyUp.
02
Inform
The Guardian is told when an adult invites the Junior to a match and when a Coach shares a development note.
03
Approve
New coaching, Club joins and Tournament entries wait until a Guardian approves them.
04
Protect
Match photos stay off unless the Guardian allows them, and the Junior's date of birth stays private.
Approvals
Important decisions go to the Guardian
Some important Junior Player actions and relationships wait for a Guardian before they become active:
- New coaching relationships
- Joining a Club (the Club Manager approves too)
- Tournament entries (on by default)
- Allowing match photos
Nobody can approve something they're part of — a Coach who is also a Guardian can't approve their own coaching.

Important decisions should never be hidden from the person responsible for the Junior.
Coaches
Being a Coach doesn't unlock every Junior
A Coach can only assess a Junior Player, assign learning or support their development after a Guardian approves the coaching. A Guardian can end it at any time — past matches and results stay.
Communications
No hidden adult-to-Junior conversations.
RallyUp has no private one-to-one messaging between adults and Junior Players. When a Coach shares a development note with a Junior, their Guardian can read it and is told it was shared.
How RallyUp works
Coach → note → Junior Player + Guardian
Not on RallyUp
Coach → Junior privately
Privacy
Private by default. Share only when needed.
Date of birth stays private
Guardian details protected
Photos off by default
A Player needs to be visible enough to play — not exposed beyond what's needed.
Clubs
Enough information to safeguard — no more
Club Managers can see who is a Junior Player so they can run their Club well. A Junior's request to join waits for a Guardian and the Club Manager. Club Managers don't see a Junior's date of birth or their Guardian's contact details.

What Juniors and Guardians see
If you're a Junior Player
Guardian Protection ✓
ActiveYour Profile shows who your Guardian is. You can't remove a Guardian yourself — that keeps your protection in place.
If you're a Guardian
My Juniors shows every Junior you look after, what needs you, and lets you approve or decline in one tap. You keep your one account and all your other roles.
Records
Important safeguarding actions leave a record
Guardian invitations, approvals, declines, ended relationships and concern reports are recorded, so RallyUp can see who did what, when and in what context.
Something doesn't feel right?
Whether you're a Junior Player, Guardian, Coach or Club Manager — if you're worried about something involving a Junior Player, tell us.
- Sign in to RallyUp.
- Open your Profile (Juniors) or My Juniors (Guardians).
- Tap "Report a safeguarding concern". It goes privately to RallyUp Admins.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999 (or your local emergency number). Don't rely on RallyUp.
